Venture Chiropractic wants to wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

We are beyond thankful and grateful for each and every one of our patients that we have the privilege of helping improve their daily lives and health! It is important to us that we strive to give you our best and be your health advocates.

This holiday is about being thankful and having gratitude. Studies continue to confirm the many benefits of having gratitude in our lives. According to a study by Emmons and Crumpler, “Gratitude is an emotional state and an attitude toward life that is a source of human strength in enhancing one’s personal and relational well-being.”

Attitude of Gratitude Benefits:

Physical Health

According to a study, grateful people experience fewer aches and pains. They are more likely to take care of their health and exercise more often, leading to longevity.

Psychological Health

Toxic emotions like envy, resentment, frustration, and regret wear a person down mentally and emotionally. By approaching emotions with positivity and focusing on the positives in ones’ life, research confirms an attitude of gratitude increases happiness and reduces depression.

Sleep

Writing in a gratitude journal before bed might help you sleep better! Spend 15 minutes jotting down a few things that bring you joy and you may notice improvement with sleep.

Relationships

Gratitude opens the door for new or better relationships. Not only is saying “thank you” a kind gesture, but showing appreciation can help you gain new friends or strengthen the relationships that you already have.

As this holiday approaches, take a moment to reflect on all of the things in your life that bring you joy and gratitude. Tune out the negativity and focus on the positives. Spend the day enjoying your time with whomever you may be spending it with.

Choose to have an attitude of gratitude!
